Is remote learning here to stay for good?

We all already know that one of the sectors most affected by the pandemic was education.A lot of people have started to look for online courses to get new knowledges, to enjoy the down time at home or to continue classroom courses that were temporarily closed. For Trybe's COO, "schools and courses that were ready to provide an experience 100% designed for online certainly had better results than those that had to hastily adapt”.

In the post-pandemic period, the executive reveals that the demand for high value-added courses made for the remote experience keeps the same at Trybe. He believes that "the face-to-face element, in our experience, does not create big difference in people's teaching experience and proficiency evolution."

Such is the belief in the remote learning and in the tools that the digital can offer to make up for social interaction that "100% of the resources that could be allocated to real estate are reinvested in improving our teaching experience (designed for live and online) and, particularly, in the amount of talent on our team", Lensing points out.

Technology and the transformations in education

For Lensing, one of the big changes caused by technology in education is in the ability to measure people's engagement and proficiency with learning tools, such as different content and assessments. “It opens way to create a huge value to get the education experience better, its efficiency. In other words, provide different paths and formats for different backgrounds and learning profiles", he says.

One of the most important innovations brought by edtech is the Shared Success Model. The MSC is a payment option offered to people interested in studying at the school. They start paying for the course only after they have earned a minimum salary of R$3,000 per month. Those who choose this model must pay 17% of gross income, until it reaches the total amount of the course, as in the contract, or until five years have passed from the date of your graduation from Trybe (whichever comes first). Therefore, it is possible to reduce the number of unemployed people in Brazil and still offer qualified labor.

To keep changing the education in the country, by preparing better professionals, the startup is expected to offer mores courses in the coming months. According to Lensing, this is a result of the demand coming from the more than 350 partner companies, as well as from people who look for Trybe to get in the technology market. "We will continue to grow, but always focused on the quality of our courses, chasing our vision of being the first choice for people who want to prepare for digital jobs on the continent, and creating opportunity for our students," he concludes.
