Monthly Investment Report: We have adjusted our allocations in the local and international portfolios
Check the summary of the scenario analysis and the allocations from the Investment Committee for March
By Itaú Private Bank
We released on Wednesday, the 19th, the perspectives and strategies of our Investment Committee, which meets monthly to decide on the tactical allocations of the model portfolios based on the global macroeconomic scenario. This time, we decided to make some changes to the local and international portfolios.
Understand below our assessment of the scenario and the markets:
International
- The intensity and speed of the implementation of the Trump administration's policies generated greater concern with US growth, while Europe and China strengthened their committmentto offer support to their respective economies. Doubts about the continuity of American exceptionalism resulted in considerable weakening of the dollar in the month.
- In this context, we decided to increase our allocation to European stock markets from one level below neutral (-1) to neutral and maintain our exposure to US high-yield bonds at one level above neutral (+1).
- Our positions in the remaining asset classes were unchanged from the neutral level.
