Geopolitical risk was at the center of investors' attention in the first half of the year, with uncertainty about US trade policy, as well as the impact of the wars in the Middle East and Eastern Europe as the driving issues. Nevertheless, emerging country equities continue on the upswing and reached the highest level in more than four years.
